Project Outline: Working Remote here in London & Liaising with tight knit agile Dev Team, I help deliver an MVP project for their client Vodafone Based in Cologne, Germany. After the MVP handover, I joined a newly formed Front-End team within Vodafone to work on other internal infrastructure projects and for ongoing maintenance. Our Dev Team also took part in a Hackathon building out a dashboard solution for support maintenance servicing.
Skills Applied: Developed solid Front-End UI in React.JS, using State Management Hooks (useState/useRef/useEffect). Worked in Typescript for newer builds and Vanilla JS in React for ongoing legacy builds. Used BEM & SCSS for consistent responsive brand theming. When it came to “Form Validation” i used React Hooks initially, but later sourced React Hook Form for a more robust scalable solution. Also Implemented Front-End UI for: an Image Crop Tool, Darkmode, and embellished the Front End UI with some fun-funky GSAP animations for immersive UI/UX.

Skills Applied: Projects worked on consisted of HTML5 builds, and those with richer UX utilised the HTML5 variant of the GreenSock animation framework for more consistent browser support (IE9). Project Outline: With VidCon 2014 set to launch on June 26th over in California, this Front end contract role had me working with Lead Designers at BS&T to build out the bespoke HTML5, CSS, UI/UX and Mobile support for Contiki's Adventure Travel RoadTrip Microsite. Brought on board in early June The aim was to have it go live by the time Vicon was underway.
Skills Applied: Using the Bootstrap Framework as a start point, a custom navigation menu was developed specifically for this project. jQuery, CSS3 and HTML5 were coded with a Mobile First priority in order to support as many devices as possible. Once this was completed, it could be integrated into each page of the microsite. The remaining Responsive Page Builds were integrated into Contiki’s Ruby On Rails based CMS. Extensive device testing was done via BrowserStack, and Custom Javascript and jQuery functions were implemented to disable video playback for tablets and to support simple form validation functionality.

Project Outline: Worked in the design and development team to launch the campaign #NOREGRETS Adventure Challenge for Contiki.com. Developing for a mobile first strategy I came on board to mark up the final approved design into a HTML5 Responsive campaign Landing Page. I also assisted in scoping out the Mobile UI requirements as well as cross browser/device testing in BrowserStack.
Skills Applied: Using Bootstrap The Responsive Framework, I was able to quickly implement CSS Classes and Div stacking to the site wide standard to achieve the base of the responsive layout. Where Bootstrap didn’t suffice I had to develop custom Classes and CSS Media Queries to achieve the desired page layout for mobile, tablet and desktop continuity. For dynamic aspects of the page SmoothScroll.js & Colorbox.js were sourced. I was also tasked with developing a time sensitive price switch function in jQuery for a separate campaign page on the site.

Project Outline: Working Remotely and liaising with another Developer via Skype I was tasked with developing a responsive (tablet compatible) menu component for Parker FitzGerald's Website.
Skills Applied: Notepad ++ to hand the Responsive Menu component. CSS2/3 techniques of "Maxwidth" percentages to make sure menu proportions were constrained when scaling to minimum tablet resolution and viewports. IE/Chrome/FireFox/Devtool's for testing/debugging and Tablet spec was tested with the ever useful IpadPeek web app. A "PHP Includes" technique was used to call the separate HTML file where the menu could sit independently from the WordPress site for easy maintenance and reusability to other projects/bits of UI if needed.
